Cheese Scones

I’m usually more of a sweet toothed person but when it comes to savory, I love cheese! Cheese Scones weren’t something that I’d made previously but my Grandma’s classic scone recipe was so tasty that I thought, why not try giving it a twist. I can certainly say that these will now be made on a regular basis as they’re too good not to! They’re super easy to make and didn’t take a long time to prep or to bake (approximately 30 minutes in total). The recipe below makes 8 regular sized scones, perfect for family snacks.

Ingredients

  • 230g self-raising flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 45g butter
  • 100g mature cheddar
  • 140ml milk

When the scones are golden brown, remove them from the oven and allow to cool.

Once cooled (or a little warm), enjoy!
